Lukas Johnson is a musician, producer, sound designer, technologist, and pioneer of modern live electronic music performance. His compositions and productions have earned international recognition and awards thru festival performances, collaborations, and a diverse worldwide fan base.
Johnson's technological facility and aptitude for innovation has lead his research towards cybernetics and human augmentation, not only for music production and performance but for transcending human limitations. The human-computer Interface being of prime concern, Johnson's work with live electronic music performance instrumentation has lead to a greater creative method of production and a greater technological augmentation of performance.
A passionate synthesist, musician, futurist, and artist, Johnson finds great joy in teaching music technology and production courses at Rhode Island School of Design and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and workshops on Controllerism at Berklee College of Music.
